Nearly two decades after the original film became a cultural phenomenon, the sequel reunites Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep for another chapter set in the high-pressure world of fashion publishing. The announcement comes almost two months after the film debuted in theatres on May 1, 2026. Since then, anticipation for The Devil Wears Prada 2 OTT release has steadily grown among fans eager to revisit Miranda Priestly’s iconic fashion empire.

Emily Blunt is back as Emily Charlton alongside Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling. The ensemble cast also features Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, B. J. Novak, Simone Ashley, Tracie Thoms, and Patrick Brammall.
Directed once again by David Frankel, the film reunites much of the original creative team. Screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna and producer Wendy Finerman also return, helping preserve the tone that made the original film a global favourite.

Now an established editor, she crosses paths once again with Miranda Priestly, who is struggling to keep Runway magazine relevant in an era shaped by artificial intelligence, digital media, and corporate consolidation.
The sequel proved to be a commercial success, earning approximately $685 million worldwide. Of that total, around $220 million came from North America, while overseas markets contributed nearly $465 million. In India, the film completed its theatrical run with collections of around ₹34.5 crore.
