Harbhajan Singh, former Indian cricketer and Lok Sabha MP, reviewed the recently release Satluj, which tells the story of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra.
Harbhajan called the film a ‘must watch’ on his Instagram stories.

Hindustan Times reported that on Sunday, the turbanator posted a picture showing a 9.7 IMDB rating of the film on X and gave a detailed review, praising director Honey Trehan and lead actor Diljit Dosanjh for their ‘Outstanding work’.
The former cricketer also mentioned the infamous Jallianwala Bagh massacre and oppression by outside powers. However, Satluj made him realise a bitter reality.
He wrote on X, “What is more painful than oppression by an outsider? When those entrusted to protect their own people are accused of becoming the source of their greatest fear.” He further added, “A police officer’s duty is to protect innocent lives—not to abuse power. Khalra’s courage exposed evidence of alleged illegal disappearances and secret cremations, reminding us that the abuse of state power can leave wounds that last for generations.”
Harbhajan also mentioned that many families are still waiting for answers and that truth cannot remain buried forever.
Diljit Dosanjh relieved after Satluj’s release
The lead actor in Satluj and the person who portrayed Jaswant Singh Khalra, took to Instagram and recalled the long 4-year struggle against which the film went through.
The actor wrote on Instagram regarding the delayed release, “Finally After 4 Years of Fight.. SATLUJ #Panjab95 is Released on @zee5 Shaheed Jaswant Singh Khalra Ji Nu Lakh Lakh Parnaam (folded hands emoji) (A million salutations to martyr Jaswant Singh Khalra).”
He further added, “Mai Aksar Team Nu Pushda Rehnda C Ke Eh Film Kadey v Ni Augi? Asi Apni Kahani Nhi Das Sakde? Khalra Saab Di Avaaz Nu 1995 ch v Dabaa Dita Geya.. Te Aj V Ona Di Avaaz Nu Dabaa Rahe Aa.. Asi Kithey Khadey An? Kang Bhaji Always Mainu Kehnde c Samaa Badluga film Ek Din Zarur Release Hougi. SHUKAR SHUKAR BAS SHUKAR.”
