Diljit Dosanjh autobiography plans surprise fans

Speaking candidly to News 18 during the live interaction, Diljit Dosanjh said he has every intention of documenting his life and experiences. However, he believes the book should only reach readers after he is no longer alive.

The actor explained that he does not want his family members, relatives, close friends or professional associates to face any unnecessary difficulties because of the stories he may choose to share.

Diljit added that revealing details while he is alive could create problems not only for him but also for the people around him. Satluj controversy continues after OTT removal

The Diljit Dosanjh autobiography comments came just days after Satluj disappeared from Zee5. The film premiered on the platform on July 3 after remaining unreleased for several years due to certification hurdles. However, it was taken down only two days later.

Zee5 later issued a statement confirming that the film would remain unavailable in India until further notice because of recent developments. The platform said it remains committed to exploring legal and procedural options to restore the film for audiences.

Directed by Honey Trehan, Satluj, previously titled Punjab ’95, is inspired by the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra.

Diljit remains focused despite ongoing debate

While the Diljit Dosanjh autobiography announcement attracted widespread attention, the actor largely avoided commenting in detail on the controversy surrounding Satluj. Instead, he focused on interacting with fans and expressing gratitude for their continued support.

The film features Diljit alongside Arjun Rampal, Kanwaljit Singh, Suvinder Vicky and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan. Produced by RSVP Movies and MacGuffin Pictures, the project has remained one of the most discussed releases in recent years because of its prolonged certification issues.

With the future of Satluj still uncertain, Diljit’s comments about his autobiography have once again highlighted his preference for speaking selectively while allowing his work to remain at the centre of public attention.
