Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has shared a thoughtful blog on learning, self-reflection, and accepting mistakes, days after his comments about the France football team during the FIFA World Cup 2026 triggered widespread criticism online.
Although the actor did not directly refer to the controversy, many have interpreted his latest post as a response to the backlash surrounding the Amitabh Bachchan France football team controversy.
The post that sparked criticism
The controversy began after France defeated Paraguay to reach the next stage of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Reacting on social media, Bachchan highlighted the racial composition of the French squad, writing that the team had “10 Black” players and “1 white” player, calling it the “POWER of BLACK.”
The post attracted criticism from several users, who argued that the players should be recognised for representing France rather than being identified by race. Others described the remarks as unnecessary and insensitive.

Amitabh Bachchan reflects on learning from mistakes
Without mentioning the incident, Bachchan’s latest Tumblr blog focused on personal growth and continuous learning.
“Every day is an education… every day is a fresh and new learning,” he wrote, adding that people should remain open to knowledge and self-improvement.
The actor also stressed the importance of accepting one’s own mistakes instead of offering excuses.
He wrote that once a mistake is acknowledged, the burden becomes easier to understand and arguments naturally come to an end.

‘The best way to end a debate’
Bachchan further reflected on disagreements, suggesting that prolonged arguments often serve little purpose.
According to the actor, even when someone believes they are right, ending an argument by acknowledging the other person’s viewpoint can save time and allow both sides to move forward.
He wrote that such an approach frees a person from unnecessary debates and allows them to focus on things they truly believe in.
