Actor Aamir Khan has shared fresh details about his upcoming wedding to Gauri Spratt, revealing that the ceremony on July 5 will be a private affair attended only by close family members and friends.

Speaking to the media during the screening of Rajkumar Hirani’s Pritam and Pedro series, Aamir described the wedding as a small and personal celebration.

“Shaadi hai 5 July ko. Ghar pe hi kar rahe hai. Bahut hi choti shaadi hai. Bahut hi khaas din hai 5 tarikh hamare liye. Dono families hai aur kuch khaas dost hai,” he said.

He further said, “Ghar pe hi kar rahe hai. Aap sabhi ki dua chahiye bas ki hum khush rahe aur prarthana karenge ki achha safar rahe. Bahut hi gharelu hai.”

The actor also requested blessings from the media and said both families would be present at the ceremony.

Wedding to take place at Mumbai residence

According to sources cited by NDTV, the wedding will be held at Aamir Khan’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area. The marriage registration is expected to take place at the actor’s home during the first half of the day.

The guest list has reportedly been kept limited, with around 150 people expected to attend. Several relatives travelling from overseas are also likely to join the celebrations.

The couple’s children are expected to play an important role during the ceremony. Reports suggest that children from Aamir and Gauri’s previous relationships will be part of the celebrations.

Who is Gauri Spratt?

Gauri Spratt is originally from Bengaluru and has spent most of her life there. She studied at Blue Mountains School and later completed a fashion course, FDA Styling & Photography, at the University of the Arts London in 2004.

During a recent conversation with Navbharat Times, Aamir spoke about the impact Gauri has had on his life.

“I am very lucky that I met Gauri, and our relationship started together. She is great; I feel at peace with her. Although my relationships with (ex-wives) Kiran (Rao) and Reena (Dutta) were also very deep, things didn’t work out. When you asked, I felt that I am very blessed that Gauri entered my life. We are very happy together. Mujhe lagta hai ab main jaake mukammal hua hoon.”
