Critical minerals, Sabang Port and EVM cooperation
Apart from defense, both the nations are expected to enhance cooperation on the vital supply chain of minerals.
As per some reports, India is looking to invest in the steel, nickel, and rare earth permanent magnet manufacturing sector of Indonesia in order to improve its supply security for vital industries.

Another significant proposal under discussion is India’s support for developing Indonesia-specific Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), a move being viewed as recognition of India’s election management expertise.
Another development is that of joint development of Sabang port, which has been described as strategically placed near the Strait of Malacca and 100 miles away from India’s Great Nicobar port project.
