Vision 28 camp is all set to take place, as the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has unveiled the list of shortlisted bowlers for its development camp, selecting players across the Senior, Under-23, Under-19 and Under-16 men’s categories. The initiative forms a key part of CAB’s long-term roadmap to identify, groom and develop Bengal’s next generation of cricketers.

Vision 2028: Senior and Under-23 bowlers named

The senior bowlers’ shortlist features Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal, Ishan Porel, Kanishk Seth, Geet Puri, Sayan Ghosh, Md. Kaif, Shubham Sarkar, Soumyadip Mondal, Karan Lal, Prayas Ray Barman, Sourav Halder, Vishal Kumar Roy, Pradipta Pramanik, Aamir Gani and Akhilesh Yadav.

The Under-23 squad includes Sukhmeet Singh, Syed Irfan Aftab, Yudhajit Guha, Debangshu Pakhira, Nabonil Saha, Sagen Murmu, Shiladitya Mondal, Nooruddin Mondal, Md. Faizal Hussain Khan, Jeet Thakur, Subhrangshu Ghosh, Giriraj Vyas and Priyanshu Patel.

A pool of new faces

The Under-19 shortlist comprises Aneesh Rathi, Gaurav Dutta, Shivam Bharti, Anirban Sharma, G. Santosh, Agastya Shukla (subject to fitness), Daniyal Chowdhury, Sahil Roy, Rajveer Singh, Samadrito Biswas, Veeresh Das, Akshit Pandey, Soham Mishra, Triparna Samanta and Dhanvin Nimavat. The Under-16 group includes Aniket Pratihar, Kaushik Bauri, Anustup Mitra, Ayush Malik, Shahedul Islam, Prabin Chetri, Arnab Ozha, Mayukhmay Dutta, Krishna Chowbey, Tujan Murad, Jyoti Biswas, Sagnik Kar, Diganta Howladar, Sourav Ghosh and Soumallo Singha.

What is Vision 28?

Vision 2028 is CAB’s long-term talent identification and development blueprint aimed at strengthening cricket across West Bengal. Conducted at the Eden Gardens indoor facility, the programme unifies coaching for the Under-16, Under-19, Under-23 and senior state teams.

Former India pacer Ashoke Dinda heads the project while serving as the fast bowling coach, with Utpal Chatterjee leading the spin department. The coaching panel also includes former India internationals Venkatesh Prasad, Narendra Hirwani and Manoj Tiwary, reinforcing CAB’s commitment to nurturing future stars.
